1. Pre-writing (Getting Started) 📝
Brainstorming:
Choose ONE of these fun ways to gather your ideas:
1. Draw a mind map with your main topic in the center
2. Make a list of everything you can think of about your topic
3. Use the "5 W's and H" (Who, What, Where, When, Why, How)
Example Topic: "My Amazing Summer Vacation"**

Planning:
- Choose your 3 best ideas
- Put them in order (beginning, middle, end)
- Think about what details you'll include
2. Writing Your First Draft ✍️
Remember:
- Don't worry about making it perfect
- Just get your ideas down
- Use your brainstorming map or list
- Write in complete sentences
- Group similar ideas into paragraphs
Example Opening Paragraph:
“This summer was the most exciting vacation ever. My family and I spent two amazing weeks at the beach and went camping in the mountains. Every day was filled with new adventures and fun memories that I will never forget.”

Words to Replace Common Words:
Instead of "good" try:

Instead of "said" try:

- Capitalization: Names, places, first word of sentences
- Usage: Correct word choices (their/there/they're)
- Punctuation: Periods, commas, question marks
